Proof Physical Therapy and Performance is committed to making proofpt.com usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnification, voice control, or keyboard-only navigation.

Conformance target

We’ve built and reviewed this site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard referenced in Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and widely used as the benchmark for ADA Title III compliance. WCAG 2.1 AA is a target we work toward, not a one-time checkbox: no site can guarantee perfect conformance at every moment, but this is the bar we hold ourselves to and keep re-checking against.

Measures we’ve taken

• A skip-to-content link, clear page landmarks, and a logical heading structure on every page.
• Descriptive alt text on meaningful images, including staff photos and credential badges; decorative images and icons are hidden from assistive technology.
• Every form field has a visible, programmatically associated label, and every error is announced to assistive technology, not shown by color alone.
• Text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast minimums against the backgrounds they appear on.
• Every interactive element, including the mobile menu, the FAQ accordions, and the appointment form, can be operated from a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
• Motion and auto-advancing content (like our patient story carousel) respect your device’s reduced-motion setting and can always be paused by moving focus onto them.
• The site remains readable and its forms remain usable even if a visitor’s browser has JavaScript turned off.

This is ongoing work. We review the site again whenever we make a meaningful change to it, not just once at launch.

Known limitations

A few parts of this site rely on services we don’t build ourselves, so we can’t guarantee their internal accessibility the same way we can our own code. In each case, we’ve provided a fully accessible alternate path to the same information:

• Google Reviews widget (Elfsight). Our live, scrolling review feed is a third-party embed. If it doesn’t load or behaves unexpectedly with your assistive technology, every review it would show is also readable directly on our Google Business Profile (opens in new tab), and a set of real reviews is always present as plain text elsewhere on our homepage.
• Embedded Google Map. The interactive map on our contact and location sections is a Google product. Our clinic’s full address, phone number, and driving-direction link are always available as plain text and real links next to it, so you never need the map itself to reach us.
